Can anyone adequately explain why West Seattle RapidRide doesn't go all the way to White Center, when the 54 which it is replacing provides a good link between White Center and West Seattle? As planned, RapidRide goes to Westwood Village (an improvement over earlier plans which showed it stopping at the Fauntleroy Ferry or even at Morgan Junction), stopping about a half mile short of the 54's terminus in White Center. What's the story behind this service cut to White Center?

I've been wondering about the Orca card too. I haven't heard anything from UW about it, which would have happened if it was going to replace the UPass by fall quarter. Metro's Orca card site still says 2008, so maybe it got pushed back a few months?

If they've really increased service 17% over less than 20% of the Transit Now period, it looks to me like they're on track to their goals. The reason they seem behind is because there's been such a huge increase in ridership because of gas prices.

The BRT line is a Metro project, and the tunnel is Sound Transit. I think it's very unlikely you'll see Metro fund the LINK tunnel.

I live in Bellevue, and the the Eastside BRT route is terrible. It seems like a private line to connect MS offices to me...

Cut that and use it to boost funding for the Eastlink tunnel through our Downtown.

also could there be an update on the Orca card?
