Extended Link Testing! Watch for Trains!

Link passing at South Trenton Street

Link passing at South Trenton Street by Brian Bundridge

Sound Transit has extended testing along MLK Jr. Way to South Walden Street. The test range is now between South Walden Street and South 154th Street Station. Please, stop, look, and listen for the quiet Link trains. They can and will sneak up on you when you are least expecting it.

What’s with the cops hanging out at almost every link intersection?

Safety patrol and ensuring people don’t walk along the right of way. I heard somewhere in the range of 30 tickets issued last night. I have a post coming tomorrow regarding how cars and the trains will interact with each other.

Required for the first week or two of operation on that section. You would not believe the stupidity of the pedestrians on Sodo that shows on the paperwork coming across my desk.

Oh I believe it. I saw people walking down the right of way yesterday when the trains were running. It’s amazing just how dense some people are.
