With free parking we all lose

so let’s price it something the market deems fair
so that free spots are no-t as rare

We are not daily beggars
who pay not at the store
but we believe that we should find
free parking at our door

So insist that we do not build
stacks of homes for friends to fill
but Seattle is something we want to share
with neighbors who are not yet here

Living close together is
what makes Seattle great
people who do not look like us
oft’then become our mates

But we need to move around
on expensive, limited ground
so with space we must be a bit more spare
we can’t all keep driving everywhere
