This is very short notice, but there’s going to be a Sound Transit-transit blog meetup tomorrow evening, from about 5pm to 8, at the Elysian Fields in Pioneer Square.

The meetup is being put together by a few Sound Transit employees in their off time, and there are likely to be quite a few ST officials dropping by, particularly in the first hour as they leave work and head home.  This is not an official Sound Transit event.  My understanding is that it’s more of a social event than something with a speaking program.  As with most STB meetups, the cost is zero but you buy your own food and drinks.

At any rate, they decided to open it up to committed STB readers as well.   If you’re planning to attend RSVP in the comment thread.  Your RSVP is needed by 12pm tomorrow, January 5th.

  1. Actually, seeing as it is a bar and everything, and that I’m a minor, am I still allowed to come?

    1. I’m pretty sure the Capitol Hill location has areas where those under 21 are allowed. Best bet is to call them and ask.

      1. OK. I just called, and they said that there many places for those folks under 21 to sit, so no worry in that department.

  2. Coolness! I hope to get there. Maybe gettingreal will show up to, asking us to repent of our sins.

  3. Would love to be there, but I work on Tuesdays. If there could ever be a meetup on Wednesdays or Thursdays, I could be there!

  4. You all need a meetup in Bellevue (just stay out of kemper land) so me & Adam can visit.

I’m tutoring him on Visual C# so he can get ahead in class, darn (I promised him I would so we can’t make it)

  5. I fold, it’s date night.

I wanted to point out that yesterday I went to the Airport at 2pm and on my way there, my train had 42 people that I counted at the SeaTac/Airport Station, and walking to the terminal I passed about 20 folks walking to the station.

Heading back into town, spotted about 30 folks headed to the terminal and our train loaded about 30 people.

    Busy travel day!
