Who’s idea was it to make all these federal holidays fall on a Monday? It overloads the transportation system on the Friday before. The meaning of the day gets lost in the 3-day getaway; many people use this one for a ski vacation. It confuses all of us in terms of what is and isn’t open, and whether a Weekday, Saturday or Sunday schedule is in effect.
