Does anyone know if the City of Bellevue has considered complaints from future residents of the planned apartments/condos next to King County Metro’s East and Bellevue bus base operations?
Impacts include air pollution from diesel exhaust, especially when busses are started/warmed up on cold winter mornings. Other concerns are noise (i.e. backup alarms) and nightime lighting.
It may be difficult to mitigate these impacts because the bus bases operate 24/7 and most coaches are fueled and serviced during the graveyard shift (busses can be on the road up to 18 hours per day).
