Join Seattle Transit Blog and Sound Transit staff for a Meet-Up Monday Oct 20 from 5-7 p.m. The venue will be Oktoberfest-friendly Altstadt in Pioneer Square. This is your chance to chat with STB writers and editors as well as ST’s new communications director Craig Davison. Other ST planning and operations staff will be there, too.

If you are new to town and want to meet a friendly bunch of transit advocates (geeks) or if you’re an STB regular, this will be a great opportunity to connect faces to names & handles.

Please feel free to invite friends, partners & spouses – and please use the comment thread to RSVP.

See you on Monday!

  1. Great idea – I don’t think I can make this one. But I sure like the idea of a STB meetup.

Perhaps I should set one up in Snohomish County… any interest?

  2. Usually, I have a bit of flexibility for stuff like this, but right now that can’t happen, unless Google releases a teleportation device sometime in the next few days.

  3. Sounds like a interesting event. The spouse and I will be there. Will be nice to meet everyone.

  4. I was going to come since I’m in Hansville for a few weeks helping my wife take care of her father recovering from a heart valve replacement. But the tone has gotten too unpleasant lately. I can’t imagine that it will be a congenial group.

    1. And yes, I know that I have been pretty sarcastic about Sam in the past, but he only recently has started to contribute serious observations rather than just scoring smug points. Some of his latest posts have raised genuine problems.

  5. Sorry for the 11th hour RSVP. I just moved here a little over a week ago but have been following STB for quite a while. I’ll be there, fast as the busses can get me there. :)
