If you haven’t had a chance to check out U-Link or the Northeast Seattle restructure, this might be a good opportunity to do so while meeting some other transit-minded people.

If anyone goes, please ask them to remove the bus stop east of the entrance to Children’s hospital … The stop literally across the street from the prior stop in front of Children’s hospital.
This is a wonderful idea, Martin. I think some of the rest of us should work up a whole series of get-togethers like this. Transit out of Olympia pretty rough weekends. But easy drive to excellent parking garage at Tacoma Dome (all right, but I really am TRYING to get Olympia into ST!).
Then single seat LINK ride to the meet-up. Good regional thinking on assembly point! Will set precedent for meet-ups at every new station. Greatest will be at far end of the HSB (sort of a Bullet-Bus) busway at Boeing Field.
But whether I make it or not, Gordon, since July 24 is Sunday, I’ll try to remember to call both Metro and my former councilman, Larry Phillips, about that stop. Little-known peasant folk custom is reverse birthday presents in emergency cases.
Just hope nobody gets off the Meet-up at Children’s, and gets lost. And even worse, nobody can find them. K-9 corps deserves at least one Sunday in their kennel, sleeping with their nose in a sweet lady police chief’s slipper.

1) Good thinking. Transit hiking…. [ot] Sorry I won’t be going.
2) When I come to Seattle I plan a little hiking of my own to get to photo spots. One of which will require a lift from the West Seattle Water Taxi, then a hike around the bend in West Seattle. :-)
OK, Martin, Steven Seagal at his worst never deserved reviews this bad. If you don’t retaliate, John Niles and Maggie the Dragon (sorry, Maggie, but you know better!) will turn you over to the Trail Savers.
So revise meet-up as follows: Reverse above routing to UW Station to IDS. For entire Saturday night shift, EB Jackson stop Route 7 to Prentice and back, with sequential connections to every single trolleybus route in Seattle. Medic One will have more resuscitation cases than just one goat in Fremont.
OK you guys: Dare You! Anymore complaints and Dave and Mic and me will qualify you to drive the 4 and leave you tied up outside the front door at Atlantic, with your papers stuffed in your pocket.
Trolleybus part is real, Martin. Let’s do it next time. Serious. Some regular meets like this could make up for the take-down of our Historic fleet. Meantime, see you on the 24th.

This sounds like great fun! I think I will be there.
Take a look at the weird stop arrangement for SB 62 and 45 at Ravenna and Woodlawn when you head for Turnpike.
