  1. LINK RUNNING PAST 0200!?! AND ON A FRIDAY NIGHT??! This is the first time ever! Now, if they could only do this on NYE..

  2. I took the 2 Line from Downtown Redmond to the Bellevue fireworks a little after 9 o’clock last night. My intent had been to use the bike lockers there but the app wouldn’t connect properly, even when directly scanning the QR code, so I had to just lock my bike outside, which wasn’t ideal. The app was working later in the night so hopefully it was a brief hiccup.

Both going there and coming back the most active stations were Overlake Village, Redmond Technology, and Marymoor. Going there was decently busy, but the return trip was crush loaded, and I’m sure the following trains were as well. Really wish they could have used 3-car trains for this event, but I don’t know enough about how the trains are stored on the Eastside to say if that’s even possible. Still, it was about 20 minutes from downtown Redmond to downtown Bellevue and vice-versa, which is _far_ better than the B line and definitely beat navigating event traffic by car. I really think the 2 Line is going to do well once the Seattle link opens.
