Frank at OR has the details, although it’s obviously unscientific, and there is no apparent way to see if it’s from Metro, the City of Seattle, or somebody else.

    1. That’s too funny. If we get enough people to do that, they’ll notice, although it wouldn’t be very useful data.

97 Link Shuttle (which one? Express, Local, Mt Baker special?)
661 Central Base – North Base Tripper Shuttle Service (I have its timetable somewhere)

    2. Look what you guys did they added the following:

“And for those of you with a sense of humor, 97, 599 (Link) and 661 don’t count!”

      Haha

  1. Man, can you get more skewed questions?

“If ending the ride free area could pay for our health care system and cure cancer, are you in favor of keeping the ride free area which will cause the death of small children?”

  2. “Which two routes do you ride most often? (And for those of you with a sense of humor, 97, 599 and 61 don’t count!) ”

It seems the survey team is on to you all!!

So why not list former routes like 305 or 6!

  3. Just for laughs, I listed my beloved 230 (no RFA)

why are they thinking the Lakewood Sounder Connector (599) isn’t allowed?

My brother listed the 496 and 497 (the two PT Sounder connectors – hey they play their part in getting you to Downtown Seattle)

  4. While I answered all other the questions truthfully, for the “most frequent bus routes,” I made sure to include the 98…

    1. New Plan: Instead of doing those other routes, everyone put in 99. It will stop being a survey about RFA, and start being a show of support for the Waterfront Streetcar.

  5. I know this is a off topic.

On Thursday I was using my Orca card’s e purse on Link I tapped in but forgot to tap out does anyone know what happens if this occurs?

    1. You are probably just charged $2.50 – the max fare – because that is how much is deducted from your card when you tap in, and you get a refund if you tap out before the end of the line.

You can always go online and check your transaction history!

      1. I have checked my account online but it still seems to be waiting for me to tap out because there are no extra Link charges on my card. Whats weird is that immediately after stepping off Link I boarded a metro bus and my card worked fine I would think that should have raised a red flag.

I have to go Downtown anyways maybe I should try tapping out, but if it taps me in oh well another reason to ride Link Light Rail. woohoo

    2. You’ll be charged for whatever the highest price trip is from wherever you boarded. When you tap in the highest price trip is deducted from your e-purse, when you tap out a credit is refunded if your trip cost less than that. If you don’t tap out you don’t get the credit. Hope this helps. :-)

    3. It’s supposed to happen like Randay206 said, but sometimes people have been double-charged or perhaps not charged. I always check my transaction history after riding Link. If you’re overcharged, file a complaint. You may not get your money back, but maybe you will eventually.

  6. I’m kinda doubting a real official survey would say it’s “quick and dirty.” Probably just someone who wants to help.
