We almost missed this, but West Seattle Blog reports that Metro is meeting with three community groups about RapidRide C.:
The meeting starts at 6:30 pm Tuesday at the Senior Center of West Seattle (California/Oregon).
I couldn’t guess if there will be more struggles over taking parking to give RapidRide right of way. The meetings are open to the public.
I’m planning to be there, if you want any notes.
I attended the meeting to get some questions answered. Here is what I found out:
1. The C line WILL use the Alaskan Way Viaduct as originally planned, but they are aware that the viaduct will be shut down later this decade, but the reroute will not officially take place until 2016 at the latest.
2. As expected, Metro will potentially interline/through-route the C line with the D line between the CBD and Ballard, providing a one-seat cross-town ride as the 15/18/21/22/56/57 do today.
