I think the idea for the circle bus around downtown Bellevue is a great idea. I have never spent much time in Bellevue, being a city guy myself, but these circle lines are a great way to move people around quickly and reliably.

The Bellevue city council wants to use “Transit Now” money, but they will only get so much, so they are priortizing the various projects they have in mind.

  1. Sort of. Instead of using full-sized buses, the would use 19-person vans, and the route would loop around the downtown area.

  2. Just a follow up on an unrelated subject. Have you heard of the plans to make 3rd ave in downtown a permenant Bus only street. I read about this somewhere in relation to the Viaduct closure mitigation plan.

In seems that if the Surface/Transit plan for the Viaduct is the choosen option, that 3rd ave would become an all day transit only avenue. Any info you could find on this would be helpful.

    That’s a good question, I’ll ask metro.
